A Solid Foundation
Magical Education for Kids
Young children between 8 through 12 require a gentle pace of instruction and age-appropriate materials. For example, classes at this age level focus on learning illusions that use magical props suitable for smaller hands. These routines will usually be mechanical in nature and will help the learner develop their practice skills and patience. Throughout the program, magician instructors may break a class down to smaller groups so participants can have a chance to practice, perform and entertain a small group of peers. At the end of each series of courses, the students will enjoy the opportunity to perform before the entire class. At this event, the instructors can evaluate their performance and guide them toward improvements.
A typical course series for this age group consists of 24 hours of class time that run over a four-week period. During the spring, winter and fall courses, these classes will take place in the evening as follows:

Magical Maturity for Teens
Teens at Galaxy School of MagicTM receive an education that will allow them to build an advanced skill set useful in high school, college and beyond. Whether they’re currently in High School or approaching that age, the demands placed on their presentation skills increase dramatically. Many students are required to take speech classes or give oral reports in other classes. Are they prepared to stand in front of an audience with poise and confidence? They may wish to join the debate team, the drama club or audition for high school plays. Classes in magic promote self-assurance onstage, while cultivating talent and building performance skills. Whether your teen is shy or the class clown, magic will foster personal growth to help him or her become the person they want to be. Skills taught, practiced and performed in the teen series can build upon the kids’ program. Beginning teens are also welcome!
